Yuh-Ching Lin
Yuh-Ching Lin is currently a Chinese Culture University professor in the Dance Department and the Artistic Director of the Hwa Kang Dance Troupe.
From 2013 to 2016, he served as the Secretary-General of the Taiwan Dance Research Society. He also taught at the National Taiwan University of Arts. In recent years, he’s been invited to create choreography for the Ministry of Culture’s award-winning team, Liao Mo Xi Dance Theatre, and the outstanding performing arts group in Taoyuan City, Dun Qing Dance Troupe. He has performed with American Ballet Theater (2000 tour in Taipei), Ballet Concerto in Texas, Taiwan’s Image Dance Company, Gu-Ming Shin Dance Theatre, Taipei Folk Dance Theatre, Taipei Chamber Ballet, and Hwa Kang Dance Troupe in more than 20 countries in Europe, American, Asia, and Africa.
The Overseas Community Affairs Council has also selected him to teach in the United States, Canada, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Thailand. His awards include the Outstanding Gardener Award from the China Dancers Association in 2003 and 2007, first prize in National Student Dance Competition (2004) and Education Ministry’s Artistic Creation Awards for Dance (1997), and the Outstanding Dance Talent Award from the National Council for Arts in 1998.
